Consulting

We have experience across data engineering, predictive modelling, operationalization and reporting. We also have considerable specialist expertise in

• An advanced predictive modelling method uplift modelling. This is especially relevant to customer retention and other customer targeting applications (cross-selling, upselling and deep-selling).
• a careful approach to analysis that we call test-driven data analysis, which applies the ideas from test-driven development to data pipelines and ideas from unit testing to testing data as it flows through those pipelines.
• optimization, particularly stochastic optimization.

Sometimes clients outsource analysis to us; sometimes we work with clients on analysis; sometimes we train staff at clients to do data science.

Software

In addition to doing data science, we create tools for data science. Our commercial Miró software is a powerful, high-productivity suite of tools for data exploration, data engineering and model building. It also incorporates the most advanced version of our tools for test-driven data analysis.

We also produce open-source and online tools, including the Python tdda library, which incorporates support for a form of test-driven development specially adapted for data-intensive processes ("reference testing") and support for using constraints to verify data, together with automatic creation of suitable constraints from sample data.
